Tablet market all set to grow, to overtake laptops by 2015

Nov 25, 2012: According to a report by market research firm DisplaySearch, the popularity of tablets is increasing and the sale of tablets will overtake that of laptops by 2015. The shipments of tablets are all set to witness an increase in shipments. The report that came out in Daily Mail also forecasts that 21.5 million tablets will be sold in North America alone before this Christmas. The statistics around the world is also no different and it is estimated that by 2015, 270 million laptops will be sold whereas the number of tablets being sold will exceed that of laptops and the total sales is estimated at 276 million.
